This is the city’s main attraction, featuring over 700 traditional Korean houses (hanok). Visitors can enjoy wearing hanbok, experiencing traditional crafts, and even staying overnight in hanok accommodations.
  • Gyeonggijeon Shrine
This shrine houses the portrait of King Taejo Yi Seong-gye, the founder of the Joseon Dynasty, making it an important historical site.

 Food (A Pride of Jeonju)

Jeonju is also famous as a “city of taste.”

 Culture and Atmosphere

Jeonju is a city where traditional Korean culture is still alive, with hanok houses, narrow alleyways, traditional paper (hanji) crafts, and pansori music. It also hosts modern cultural events such as the Jeonju International Film Festival.

 Travel Tips

  • It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes from Seoul by KTX or SRT.
  • Walking is the best way to explore around the Hanok Village.
